Tuition and Fees

We want you to be clear about the financial details of a DeVry education. Note that fees and tuition for DeVry's undergraduate programs may vary slightly by location and program. Click here to see the current tuition rates for the different degree programs offered at DeVry campuses.

Tuition
Applicants must pay a $50 application fee, which must accompany the application, as well as a $50 tuition deposit (except where prohibited by state law, in which case the costs are $25 and $75, respectively). The tuition deposit should accompany the application but must be paid within 30 days after the applicant is notified of acceptance or by the first day of classes, whichever occurs first. The balance of the first semester's tuition or first EDUCARD® payment must be paid before the student starts classes. Tuition and fees for subsequent terms must be paid in advance of each term. Payment may be made by cash, check, VISA or MasterCard, or through approved financing plans, including use of student financial assistance programs.

Effective July 15, 2002:
Standard tuition is charged to all students enrolled full time (12 through the higher of 19 credit hours or a standard schedule). All students, except those in the Information Technology (IT) program enrolled for one through 11 credit hours are charged per credit hour. IT tuition is billed at $6,420.

Except for the IT program and the Computer Information Systems (CIS) programs in Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, the credit hour charges are: $330 at Group I campuses (AZ, GA, MO, OH, TX); $335 at Group II campuses (IL); $345 at Group III campuses (Southern CA, CO, FL); and $365 at Group IV campuses (Northern CA, NY, PA, VA, WA). IT students enrolled for fewer than 16 credit hours are charged $415 per credit hour ($400 per credit hour at DeVry/Columbus). The credit hour charges for CIS program students are $355 in Florida and $375 in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington.

Students enrolled for more than 19 credit hours through the standard schedule are charged standard tuition plus the stated per-credit-hour charge for hours over 19 or standard. Students repeating coursework are charged additional tuition at DeVry's prevailing tuition rate.

For tuition and refund purposes, the term of attendance is defined as the actual number of complete or partial terms a student has attended DeVry. Thus, the initial term of attendance, regardless of program or course level, is considered the first term. Students returning to DeVry after having missed three or more registrations sign a new enrollment agreement and are charged first-term tuition and new student fees.

Students requiring financial assistance may apply for an installment loan option through DeVry's EDUCARD® Plan.

DeVry reserves the right to increase tuition at any time; however, any increase will be announced at least 90 days before the beginning of the effective term.
