Labs FAQs

Here you will find some frequently asked questions about the DeVry Labs, and some common solutions to your computing problems.

  • When can I use the Lab?
    Mon. - Thurs., 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
    Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
    Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    Sunday, Closed

    You may use the labs anytime during those hours provided that a class does not occupy it. The only exception to this rule concerns the Network Labs, Elvis Lab, and GSP Lab. A faculty or I.T. staff member must be present in the these Labs while students are in these labs.

  • May I save my work to the computers in the lab?
    "NO" You can save your work to external med...Thumb Drives or CDRW's. Saving to the local hard drive is not an option as systems are formatted and reconfigured on an as needed basis.

  • How do I login to the classroom computers?
    Your login for any computer in the classrooms, labs, the Academic Support Center (ASC) and the Library is the same. Please use your D number and password.

  • What is my academic lab account and password?
    Your D Number and initially your birth date (mm-yyyy).

    Example: Kelly Peters, D0012345 = D0012345. The password will be set to the user's Birth Date (mm-yyyy or (devry123), and the student will be prompted to change his/her password upon first login.

  • Who should I talk to if there is a problem with a computer, or if I have a question about hardware/software configuration?
