Transfer Credit

DeVry will award transfer credit to students for courses taken at their regionally accredited post-secondary institutions as long as the course meets certain criteria:

  1. The credit hours must be equal to or greater than the number of credit hours of the DeVry course for which credit is sought.
  2. Course content must be substantially the same.
  3. The course must have been completed with a grade of C or better.
  4. Any student transferring course work from an outside institute to satisfy course work needed to graduate at DeVry must successfully have completed and have transferred credits prior to the beginning of their last semester at DeVry. Transfer credit will not be accepted after the beginning of the last term.
To request transfer credit, submit an official transcript to the Registrar's Office (Room 230) and request that a copy of your official transcript be sent to Academics for evaluation. The transcripts will be evaluated in its by the transfer credit coordinator. If requested, a college catalog or other documentation may be required to complete your transfer credit evaluation. The evaluation can be picked up at the academic counter after three business days. If transfer credit is granted, the transfer credit will be posted to your academic record.
